Ways
to promote your blog
At the start of your blog, you will have three
main goals for promoting your blog (or website).
Let
your connections (references) know about your new blog. Everyone who comes in
contact with you should know that you have a new blog. Some good ways to ensure
this include the following.
•
Add your blog URL to your email signature so your email contacts on gmail,
yahoo mail ect. can check it out. WiseStamp is a great app to try for
anyone using Gmail or other browser-based email systems. It will even tug in
your latest blog post into your signature.
• Add your blog URL to the social media
profiles you use the most including Twitter link, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+,
Pinterest, and so on. This way, whenever people searching you or find you on
social media, they can discover your blog as well quickly.
• Add your blog URL to forum profiles
(like other blog or quora for reference) and signatures where you participate
or link in discussions, preferably related to your new blog’s niche.
• Add your blog URL to author bios of any sites you are already contributing or contributed too, including or refer other blogs that your own or post ad with new blog link on your previous websites or blog. Maybe you already have a blog about photography and you are starting a blog about marketing. Your author bio and about page should link up to your new marketing blog it will help you in creating lead.
• Comment
on other blogs Commenting on other relevant blogs is a great way to build
relationships or links with top bloggers within your niche or your audience.
Research on the google or other search engines to find top blogs related to
your niche and start commenting on their newest posts quickly. This will help
you make them and their readers aware of your existence as well as developing
your own place within the niche. This niche awareness will help you to develop
in this field. You will conquer this.
• Sign up on Feedburner
Means
Create account on Feedburner. Feedburner is a free service owned by Google that
allows you to check the number of subscribers to your RSS feed. Use it to offer
or attract your blog visitors in a new way
to subscribe to your blog in their favorite RSS reader such as Feedly etc.
• Optimize your blog for search Regularly or daily creating best content on your blog is a good way to get search engines to index your content. Because when you regularly updating your content search engine will index you fastly. If you want your blog and your posts will rank for particular keywords, you will need to always strive to optimize both for search. This can be as simple as using the fields provided by different SEO solutions to add a keyword optimized SEO title and Meta description to your blog’s homepage, main static pages, and each one of your posts. To stay on Google’s good side, avoid overstuffing your blog with lot of keywords. Choose one keyword phrase to optimize for on each page and post. Include it in your SEO title, meta description, and one image on the one page.
• Look at paid advertising options If you have a sufficient budget, you can boost or advertise your initial traffic through paid advertising. Google AdWords allows you to promote your blog on Google Search and their display networks with your budget. Social networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn have their own advertising platforms to help you promote traffic to your blog and blog posts. This will generally be in the form of banner advertisements or sponsored reviews or in text ad or in linked ad may be an image or video.
