Blogger offers you two different methods to change or edit your blogging template or theme. You have Template Designer option, it a Blogger (blogspot) -created tool that allows users with little or no knowledge of HTML and Web design to create their own customized template designs, and the Edit HTML tool, which allows more advanced users to customize their Blogger code manually. If you are not familiar with coding of html don’t go in html. Template designer option is best for you. You can customize everything here.

Follow are the basic steps for template designer.

Step No 1:

First of all you must login in to you gmail account and open the relevant blog you want to change template. Then Go to the theme Setting. By clicking on theme setting a pop up screen will open in front of you. Now you are seeing two option customize and 2^nd is edit HTML

Step No 2:

If you want to select built in themes or template in blogger you need to scroll down and click on the any theme it will show you preview and then you can save theme will apply to your blog and now your blog have new look.

Step No 3:

If you Want Custom theme  you need to go to the backup / restore option on the top right corner of the screen and click on this option. Then you will see two options 1. Download theme and 2. Upload.

Now if you want to save previous theme file so click on the download option it will save in to your download option but if you want to add new template the click on the upload and select you template file from you computer.

But Remember that

Blogger only support .xml file

So select this file and upload.

This theme will upload and click on view blog this theme is running now for you blog.

2^nd Method

If theme is not uploading then you can click on Edit html. When html file open click on html code any ware and press Ctrl+A to select all html and then go to the saved theme xml file open it with notepad and the select and copy this. Then go to again selected html file and replace this code. Then press save. New theme will work. When you refresh you blog.

Warning:

If you change you html code associated link and gadget will stop their working.

How to down load blogger theme.

You can search on google for blogger theme it give you many good themes in free. But you need to give credit to the owner of the theme in footer.

If you know the html coding you can create your own blog theme.
